Deye Microgrid Setup

In the following, we will discuss the use, configuration, and operation of the generator port microgrid function found on Deye inverters.

By entering the settings, under the Gen Port Use menu, you will find the configuration options for the Micro Inverter Input.

The Micro Inverter Input is especially useful when you want to connect a string inverter to a hybrid inverter, allowing the hybrid unit to manage the batteries. In this case, no communication setup is required — simply connect the AC output of the string inverter to the Deye Gen Port, and connect the house loads to the Deye’s output.

Make sure that the input power does not exceed the rated power of the Deye inverter. In this configuration, either single-phase or three-phase inverters can be connected.
